Economies around the world have diverse roles geared towards adding value to their GDP. Creating Jobs and the availability of job roles in the country affects the GDP of the economy.
Every job role has its role to play in adding their quota to their economy. The more people are working the higher taxes are paid as well as the higher the job roles the higher taxes paid. STORMIQ, a private consultant company, decided to delve in the system and ascertain data of the various job roles in the country. The findings of the responses on the survey proved the happenings in the country.
First of all, the data collected showed a significant increase in herbal medicine compared to contemporary medicine. From the survey it was evident that out of 100 people in the medical field 60% are herbal professionals and 40% are medical professionals. This data was well understood with findings of the establishment of Herbal Clinics day in day out. Statistics prove more Herbal Clinics are established compared to contemporary clinics. The picture below shows Herbal Clinics are gaining its roots as traditional health centres in the community.

From the picture above we can evidently see why Herbal Professionals are gaining more numbers than Medical Professionals. Could this be the main reason why most of the adverts on Tele are on herbal stuff and most at times in public transport herbal marketers are constantly advertising a product.
Data shows that the vibrants working age is between 30-45 years and a decline in the working age from 45+ years above, giving a general perspective of the peak age of workers in the country. In other parts of the world their peak age is different. In China the peak age for their country is from 15-64. In 2015 according to World bank data on Economic Labour report in Ghana showed that the peak age of working years was at 45-49 years where it peaked at 88.7%
Our data showed 49% of females actively working in the various sectors. The labour force for females in Ghana was reported at 46.7% in 2021 according to the World Bank collection development indicators. Our data confirmed a slight percentage increase in 2022. Our data show, at a younger age, women have a higher propensity to obtain employment than men. More females are in employment for the 18-30 age range than men whilst in the 30-45 age range more men are working than women. The information means women are more likely to be employed right after their National Service but it takes longer for men to find their feet in the working sectors.
According to our data the highest sector or industry with more workers is the Educational field. It ranges from teaching, tutoring and lecturing. The chart below shows the Industry with the highest workers to that of the lowest workers.

The research also showed more women taking up assistant roles compared to men and also more of the population that responded to the survey were not in a relationship. The survey done by STORMIQ has brought out emerging trends of roles in the country and a better understanding of why it is so.
